BRINGING IDEAL STANDARD’S NEW DESIGN VISION TO LIFE
Ideal Standard has implemented a number of changes for 2021 centring around a renewed focus on design. The strategy is led by the new Atelier Collections and Retail Collections, with exciting product lines announced throughout the next year via a unique series of events known as the Together World Tour.
This fresh approach means that the Sottini brand will be absorbed into Ideal Standard in the retail market, however, several key product lines will be transferred over to Ideal Standard’s new Retail Collection within the Bathroom Collections range. This consolidation will give Ideal Standard a renewed focus and strengthen the impact of investments across the retail, residential and specification markets. The new collections will also be exclusive for retail showrooms, with preferential terms for showrooms meeting the display criteria.
The withdrawal of Sottini from the UK retail market will be complete by the end of 2021 and Ideal Standard and Ideal Bathrooms sales teams will be working with existing Sottini retailers to aid the transition over to the new collections. Ideal Bathrooms has now ceased distribution with Sottini.
The new Bathroom Collections range
Supported by a brand new styled brochure ‘The Bathroom Collections’ the retail collection features some familiar products that were previously included under the Sottini brand. These have been given new names to reflect the brand’s refreshed vision for innovation and design. The collections also benefit from a range of supporting products including Idealform Plus+ baths, ultra-flat trays, brassware and showering solutions, all available to retailers on an exclusive basis.
Key Suites within the Retail Collection
Strada II
Fusaro is now known as Strada II, featuring geometric shapes and refined lines to create soft angles, which made it a popular choice in the Sottini line-up. The Strada II range includes a variety of vessel, vanity and semi-countertop basins, all of which come with numerous size options. Complementing WCs, both wall-hung and back-to-wall, are also available.
Connect EQ
The newer Caffaro and Rienza ranges join forces in these new collections to create Connect EQ. This comprehensive ceramic and furniture suite comes with a stylish square design. Key pieces include a choice of square-shaped WCs and washbasins, along with matching furniture that comes in two lacquered finishes and two wood finishes.
Tesi
Sottini’s Mavone absorbs into Tesi, and within the collection a range of vanity basins ranging from 50 to 100cm in width along with dedicated one and two drawer basin units and column units are offered. The furniture pieces are available in three finishes; gloss white, gloss light grey and matt dark taupe. Soon to be available are the new finishes of Silk White and Black in vanity basins, btw and wall hung wcs.
Adapto
Adapto furniture, previously known as Ippari, is a modular furniture system that allows you to personalise your space with tailored configurations. The extensive range comprises consoles, basin units, base units and column units. These are available in four finishes; gloss white, light wood, dark wood and grey stone. Adapto baths, on the other hand, is the new collective name for the Cristolo, Rotaldo and Bormida ranges. This range of freestanding baths really enhances the bathing offering of the new Bathroom Collections.
Connect Air
The popular Ideal Standard Concept Air range remains unchanged as a line-up, but is now known as Connect Air and joins the Retail collection. The extensive and versatile offering, created by Robin Levien, is weightless in design and works beautifully in modern bathrooms. Key pieces include a wide variety of basins, four types of WC, bathing and furniture options that come in five different finishes.
Coming Soon - Silk Black
Black never goes out of fashion, and to further enhance the collection we have carefully selected some of the most popular models from our portfolio and are offering them in Silk Black. These include selected Tesi ceramics and vanity units, brassware, showers, accessories and shower enclosures and screens. Our Silk Black collection is not only an interior design statement, the products are also fitted with Ideal Standard’s most innovative technologies such as the Firmflow cartridge and Aquablade flush technology.
To complete the new Bathroom Collection brochure ancillary and supporting products from Ideal Standard’s Essentials Collection have been included to give a comprehensive selection for all your retail needs.
The Atelier Collections
Coming to Ideal Bathrooms in September is the new Atelier Collections by Palomba Serafini Associati (PS+A). Taking centre stage as the premium product ranges these new striking collections feature pieces that strengthen the brand's renewed design philosophy, looking back to its heritage while shaping and inspiring bathrooms of the future.
Together World Tour
Further product ranges will be introduced throughout Ideal Standard’s Together World Tour, events which merge design, art and architecture. Taking a creative and thought-provoking approach, the first event, held digitally, in Milan on the 21st of April encouraged attendees to consider the impact that interior design has on modern living.
The next stop on the Together World Tour is London on September 22nd, followed by appearances in Paris, Dubai and Shanghai. Each event, translated into four languages, will be streamed on the digital platform www.togetherworldtour.com, where viewers can watch past events, register for upcoming ones and also access exclusive, inspirational content around each destination of the journey, and the new collections.
A refreshed Clerkenwell showroom
To support with this new vision, Ideal Standard are opening the doors of their fully renovated Clerkenwell showroom. This new-look space will showcase the brand’s vision, as well as the new Atelier Collection.
