Ideal Bathrooms Sustainability and Ethical Charter

At Ideal Bathrooms, our mission is to provide a leading level of service within the bathroom industry, built on maintaining strong partnerships with both our suppliers and our customers.   We always strive to operate with the highest values of ethics and sustainability, and to promote these values with our colleagues, our customers and our suppliers.

A number of principles underpin this commitment and we reflect on these in everything that we do:

Our Charter Commitments

Ethical Business Practices: We conduct and promote high ethical standards.

1. We commit to honest, transparent and ethical practices in our day-to-day operations, and we expect our business partners and customers to behave similarly
2. We operate fairly in the market, and actively seek to avoid conflicts of interest or anti-competitive actions, including unfair pricing, restraint on supply, or the exchange of inappropriate gifts
3. We explicitly commit to the respect of personal and confidential business data, including that of our customer and suppliers

Sourcing, Supplier & Product Selection: Work with our supply chain to source & promote ethically and environmentally sustainable products.

1. We seek to ensure that products sourced through our supply chain have ethical integrity, by ensuring that our partners provide fair, safe and transparent labour practices.
2. We work closely with suppliers who share our aims to offer products which are more environmentally considerate, and which meet or exceed recognised quality standards.
3. Our teams promote products which are ethically sourced, and which are better able to help consumers to reduce their environmental cost, such and water and energy efficient products, or those which incorporate recycled materials.

Environmental Responsibility: We pledge to reduce our environmental impact, and aspire to be Carbon Neutral by 2030.

1. We work with suppliers to reduce packaging and to increase recyclable packaging options, whilst continuing to target reduced levels of product damage
2. We strive to minimise our overall carbon footprint through the maintenance of a fuel-efficient fleet, supported by efficient route planning and the avoidance of unnecessary travel
3. We target every opportunity to minimise waste and to reduce our environmental impact – including the reduction of paper & printer use, the removal of single use plastics, the storage of unnecessary data, and the implementation of damage-reducing operational procedures.

People: Ensuring all employees contribute to and  benefit from an ethical & sustainable business.

1. We commit to our colleagues well-being by providing a safe workplace, fair wages and an open and honest working environment.
2. We promote teamwork and equality and actively combat prejudice, unfairness and any form of human trafficking or slavery

1. We have processes and performance indicators in place to monitor how we are performing across the business on our charter commitments.
2. We encourage collaboration throughout our business to align against our charter commitments and to target ongoing improvements.
