Reflecting on Bathroom Design: Ideal Standard's New Mirror Collection

Date Added: 18.04.2019

When approaching a new bathroom project, the choice of mirror might be low on the list of priorities. However, when it comes to elevating a design scheme, they can play a key role, transforming and expanding spaces. They also increase the amount of light refracted around a room, which is essential as space is at a premium in many newly built homes.

To help support those looking to serve the residential market with more elegant and functional products, Ideal Standard has launched a new and enhanced collection of mirrors and mirror cabinets. These products have been designed to directly appeal to homeowners with a range of contemporary options to suit any bathroom.

So, what’s included in the new range?

The company’s new range of mirror cabinets comprises a variety of different sizes, providing options which are perfect for family bathrooms, cloakrooms and en-suites.

As well as having soft close doors, the cabinets also have sleek internal cosmetic mirrors and elegant, adjustable glass shelves. This solution allows homeowners to keep their cosmetics out of sight, ensuring they don’t disrupt the clean lines of the space.

The 500mm and 600mm options have the ability to give any bathroom an extra feeling of lightness and space with a single soft close door and a single glass shelf. Meanwhile, the two-door 600mm version features two adjustable shelves to offer the practicality of additional storage, ideal for any family home.

All of the mirror cabinets come with a mounting kit as standard, which helps simplify the installation process. In addition, they are all thoroughly tested to perform beyond British and international standards in terms of material quality and durability.

Mirror, mirror on the wall

Ideal Standard’s mirrors come in comprehensive range of shapes and sizes to work perfectly in any bathroom. Homeowners can choose from a classic or framed mirror, available with both portrait and landscape mounting options.

Ideal Standard also offers a range of innovative features to elevate the modern residential bathroom, from built in lights to anti-steam systems. Innovative sensors can pick up when a bathroom user is within a given distance from the mirror and activate in-built ambient lighting, offering a relaxed feel. At the same time, the mirrors have a built-in sensor switch, which allows the user to dim the lights and also turn them on or off without touching the surface of the mirror. This prevents the build-up of unsightly fingerprints.

With house and energy prices on the rise, homeowners are increasingly looking for products which will save them money on utility and maintenance bills. This considered, all of the lights within Ideal Standard’s mirrors have LEDS come with a technology class of A/A+. This means that they are safer, longer lasting and more energy efficient.

Ideal Standard’s anti-steam system is also a perfect addition for those looking for a simple touch to help make morning bathroom routines easier. The technology prevents moisture from steam collecting on the surface of the mirror, ensuring complete visibility despite the presence of hot water.

Many of the cabinets also feature a recharging socket, giving users a convenient ability to charge products such as electric toothbrushes and razors.

In terms of the breadth of the collection, there are a range of different sized options to choose from:

  • Mirrors are available from 40cm up to 120cm
  • Framed mirrors are available from 50cm up to 120cm
  • The mirrors with inbuilt lighting and anti-steam systems are available from 50cm up to 120cm
  • All of the mirror cabinets are available from 50cm up to 120cm

For installers looking to offer a more complete solution for their customers, all of the new products are designed to suit all other Ideal Standard bathroom furniture collections.

All of Ideal Standard’s products come with a five-year guarantee as standard. For more information, visit www.ideal-standard.co.uk.
